Beginner Survival Guide
Survive your first session: tutorial tips, safe rooms, and the core resource loop.
Your First Session
Piggy: Intercity drops you into the city outskirts with minimal equipment. A brief tutorial teaches movement, interaction, and basic combat. Do not skip the stealth section — it explains the noise system that governs the entire game.
After the tutorial, you are free to explore. Start by heading to the Survivor Camp hub where infected cannot enter and your hunger/thirst bars do not deplete.
Finding Safe Rooms
Safe rooms have a green light above the door. Inside, you can save progress, access the skill tree, and store items. Locate at least two safe rooms near your exploration routes before venturing into medium-danger areas.
The Resource Loop
The core gameplay loop: leave safe zone → scavenge loot → manage hunger/thirst → return to safe room → upgrade skills → repeat with harder zones.
Early runs should target Forest and Outskirts areas. Avoid School and Mall until you have weapons, consumables, and at least one safe room route memorized.
- Leave hub with food and water stocked
- Loot nearby low-danger areas
- Return before status bars hit critical
- Spend coins at shop, invest XP in skills
- Gradually push into higher-danger zones
